Trump is looking to deport the terrorists, jihadists and antisemites who are here illegally . He is not looking
to send packing those who came here legally. As for the high tech Asian crowd that is here on work visas, why would he send them back? It is obvious that working class Americans cannot provide the expertise they can. Personally, I have always liked Indians a lot.

Did Trump deport the Dreamers? In fact, he has used them as bargaining chips to get other parts of his agenda passed. That is not right, of course. But what has the Biden/Harris team done with the Dreamers? Clearly, they should be given US citizenship since they were raised here from a young age and are mostly very successful contributing members of society.

I think you are overreacting and drawing inferences not based on Trump's behavior during his past Administration.

Legal immigration?

That's it?

Just stop right there. No way Trump will be sending anyone you're working with back. Unless their criminals of course.
Trump likes talent, smarts.

>I work with a lot of legal immigrants.

> I worked with many illegal immigrants. Mostly desperately poor AND fleeing gangs rewarded by our futile 80 drug "war" just as the Mafia was built by prohibition. Their countries were also destabilized by corrupt dictatorships we subsidized.

> Some hope to gain permanent status.

My colleagues also wish to gain permanent status but on average it takes them 13 years. Meanwhile they have families to feed.

> all of them contribute greatly to America's high-tech leadership.

All of my guys make home ownership & repair possible for more Americans.

Which is more important... techie profits or home ownership for more Americans?*

ALL OF THEM say they're willing to pay extra taxes for 5 years if they got a better chance at becoming legal. How about your techie people? Are they willing to pay extra taxes?

* Arguably they are BOTH important. Arguably they both undermine pay scales.
