Excellent find.....agree with all except for the statement about backward compatability being needed......WRONG....and the part about the race for the replacement is not over by a long shot.......once this thing starts to roll with micron and dell watch out!!!!maybe that long shot has just gotten a hell of a lot shorter!!!!!!!!!!!great news!!!!!!!!!

This is great news for IOM. I don't mean Zip will successfully replace floppy but the chance is slightly higher now (Personally, I still favor to HiFD). Although one major box maker has choosen Zip as the prefer floppy, a low-cost zip disk is still necessary but missing right now (lower capacity like 5MB is okay but it must cost only few bucks). Nomai may help IOM in this case... Sony HiFD will have tough battle if IOM or Nomai able to produce a low-cost zip disk.
