1) Lots of street strategists are also bears.
2) Lots of them never know what they are talking about. Their stock picks are not better yours or mine. Random picks by a gorilla beats the performance of the majority of those analysts. Furthermore, if they really know what they are talking about and are making tons of $$, they won't be working as analysts now.
3) Bears are coming! Bears are coming! Everyone have been giving out warnings since years ago and yet the bull market is still running.

Want a recent example? Probably less than 0.1% people predicted that DOW will hit 8400 in Feb. (on the contrary, most of us would have felt lucky is DOW remains in above 8000), and yet it did in a very convincing manner.
To put it simple, if people have listened to those bullshit in the last six weeks, they missed a big opportunity to significantly improve their portfolios.
