As you know ST - I'm in this segment of the industry. I got out of it yesterday with my last lots from the low $8s. Been around long enough to know to never hold this thing into earnings. They consistently disappoint. I agree with your long-term assessment.

Rumor is they're seeking a suitor for their power components business. Makes sense. They're a one-trick pony (SiC devices only) competing against the big boys with much larger device portfolios including Si based parts. Infineon, ST Micro, Onsemi, Rohm etc.

My best guess would be a company like TI or ADI. Both of these have SiC gate drivers in their portfolios but do not have the actual SiC MOSFETs. Both have partnered also with WOLF on their reference designs.

If it goes into the 8s again I'll get back on the carousel.

Again, these are just my musings so take them for what they're worth i.e. some dude on the internet with weed in his handle.....LOL!
