Barry, I think you have to give CPQ's management a bit more time. It's a large merger and I don't think they want to go off half cocked before nosing around a bit inside DEC. I remember when Gerstner came to IBM, he did nothing but play student for awhile, he was even vilified for some time because he said IBM needed immediate action on the cost side instead of a 'vision' as one of his first actions. I'm waiting for CPQ to say something also, it will come. I agree about the stock though, I think we may actually have had a down week, especially discouraging in view of the Dell news and the Dow's performance. One would logically think that if Dell continues to hum, that the street might also assume that CPQ is doing the same...

The announcement said completion would be in the "second quarter" and the general expectation seems to be June. Could take even longer if Justice Department takes longer to come up with no objections. Gives EP plenty of time to think about post-merger actions, but I would not expect much in the way of plans before the merger closes.
