It's a risk. But as I said earlier, Hegseth wasn’t selected to run DoD. He was selected to fix it. The military has become soft and woke, and it needs a course correction to return to the effective fighting machine the world relies on. It's been reported that Hegseth's top assistants are experienced bureaucrats which will help in the management of that behemoth organization.
