>> even within the context of all of these leaked facts.

Really? Barbara Walters interviewed the guy and the words are from his own mouth. I can't read his mind but then again I can't ignore what he says either.

As for being self righteous...I always have to laugh at that term when I hear it used in this context. It's so relative and irrelevant at the same time.
Every bum in prison could say the same thing about everyone on the outside because the outsiders sees them as convicts for what they have done.
Does that mean the outsiders are "self righteous" or simply that they know right from from wrong when they see it and are not afraid of the ridicule that comes from pointing it out?
And then isn't it such a trite call anyway?

As for the poor management...
It's a conflict of interest in a Govt agency for a manager to place themselves in a relationship with a subordinate i.e., as innocent as asking them to come over to the house to work on the addition they have going - let alone having sexual relations with them.
The State of Washington has strict laws governing all regional and local governments and it's own agencies. The ethics violation alone that this kind of behavior constitutes will get you fired regardless how strong a union you may have. That goes for the manager as well as the managed.
It is in the strictest terms a power play on the part of the manager
regardless of the consentual nature of the act.

On another front...
If the deed were so embraced by Americans, then why is the pres so determined to keep it a secret? He must be ashamed of something, I mean this is the guy that tells young girls what kind of underwear he prefers. What's the deal then - Monica is just one more step down that line of conversation...,
"Bill, what kind of sex do you prefer? With whom and where do you like it best?" Hey, he aught to be willing to tell all. After all this is a liberated generation we live in in the 90's and lets face it, Bill's generation wrote the book on the subject. But then maybe that's why we are in this mess. His moral compass is broken.
