What does capitalism have to do with democracy?

Capitalism doesn't design our society, our democracy does.

All western democracies are capitalist, and how and what they tax and spend is up to the PEOPLE to decide!

And the health of our democracy and society should be the first concern of the people.

When wealth gets concentrated too much it undermines our society i.e. it dilutes the power of the people.

A society that doesn't take care of its people isn't worth a cup of cold spit!

My guess is you worked hard and did well, but don't give a shit about the suffering of people who are not doing as well as you.

That callousness seems to be what the MAGA are about.

But if you are on social security and medicare, you might want to thank the Democrats for those programs!

We are a capitalist nation, koan. People are free to earn and keep money, and pay taxes as appropriate. There is no appropriate tax scheme which says 1 percent of the population has to fund the whole government. Your scheme is ridiculous.
