Not sure I can help you with the tax question, Bob. Basically, once you take funds out of the IRA, it becomes ordinary income. Best to keep distributions minimal.

I did well with the BITO trade. Got paid their huge dividend while it's been consolidating - and lately, in went ahead and just about doubled. Wouldn’t want to get out too early - but even more so, wouldn’t like to give back too much -G.

Will have to hold a core - and start selling in batches - and, if instead of a large pullback it consolidates and breaks out again - buy back. If Bitcoin bulls are right, who knows - maybe it will quit doing those deep pullbacks every year or so.
