>> Not interesting at all that she was embarrassed.

Yeah, maybe just embarrassed.

But don't do a post-mortem to determine what went wrong? And given the public nature of the work, wouldn't you say, "I feel we owe an explanation to the public for whatever went wrong here. After reviewing our work to see what went wrong, we have determined we made a mistake in our arithmetic. We have prepared a supplemental analysis of what went wrong."

I'm pretty sure I would do that.

I think people will reach different conclusions, but reality is that when the entire media was supporting Harris -- and you know it was -- it is fair to say that is the choice they make when they bring their bias to work with you.

If I were running for something, I would not put publishing bogus polls in my favor on my todo list for winning. An oddball poll is just noise in the contest if it's above the radar at all.

Yeah, but you don't believe on some level that you can create your own reality if you can get enough people to buy into it. There seems to be a lot of Americans who don't agree and seem to think that reality can be changed by consensus. So fake polls, news and anything else can become reality if you pump out enough propaganda.

It did win an election. Democrats have trouble accepting that.

Everything you say in a campaign that is mistaken or deceptive or true but just not favorable to you causes the opposite campaign to waste resources. Everything.

I just noticed this but you seem to not be differentiating between the candidates and the media. It was, after all, a member of the media that published a bogus poll, not anyone's candidate.

It is all over and done with, Ms. Selzer has moved on. No one cares at this point, and would be really hard for Trump to prove her intent. But it was a clear failure of the media to do the right thing, again. We do need to know if money changed hands to deliver that result or what other accommodations may have been made.

I believe the bigger issue to me is what kind of a country has a public who will discard all principle so as to cast votes for apparent incompetents year after year. I mean, even if you don't like Trump, and hate his guts, you simply can't look away from the facts that they are incapable of running the country in a competent manner.
