Even were the clump in question a person, it could not be reasonably said to have been harmed. I've never heard this proposition before, and I see both sides plainly, but yes, a person who is a murder victim is harmed. That in the brief time after that shot occurred, the mind ceased to exist does not change the fact that massive harm was inflicted because the person involved was deprived of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to the extent that might have occurred, and that is what our Declaration of Independence was about; it never guaranteed a long life or the achievement of happiness but we are imbued with a right to pursue happiness in that context. Someone who prevents it by murder, has harmed the victim. It was deemed important enough, regardless of how long it existed, to be worthy of pursuit.

The certainty of killing the unborn child with the limited probability of killing the mother. When there is high certainty of a mothers death then there is the argument of harm.
