I think that I read that SI is the grandaddy of internet investment sites.
How many bother to look into the Politics tab is another story.
Not to mention a Trump msg board.

If you click on the STOCKTALK tab, you can see (if you do some addition) that there were 456 messages posted in the last 7 days on SI's Stocktalk boards.

During the same time period, there were 2,578 messages posted on SI's POLITICS boards.

And 733 messages on SI's PASTIMES boards.

That's a total of 456 Stocktalk messages, and 3,311 messages in Politics and Pastimes.

While SI may have gotten its start back in the day as an investment message board platform, those days are long gone.

It has evolved into a primarily non-investment-related Politics and hobby message board platform, by a factor of over 7:1, based on the message counts shown in SI's three categories.

Nothing wrong with that.

SI has transitioned over time at the direction of its participants, to reflect their current interests.

Most of the political content posted here consists of re-posts of information (and misinformation) originally posted elsewhere.

You won't see a lot of search-generated links to content here, because the content here consists largely of links to content originally posted elsewhere.
