I agree Mike I don't think it is really practical or even very effective. Think about a high pressure stream of water hitting the surface of a contaminated piece of meat. Now even though water is the most effective solvent in the world, is water alone going to kill E coli? I don't think so. What's worse is that it might just push the bacteria further inside the carcass where it would hide until it was processed. I doubt they will ever make this a viable alternative for decontamination. I did like their web site though and felt that I should let someone like yourself look it over before I gave it the thumbs down. I really value your research efforts Mike and your fair minded opinion.

Regards, Jeff

Another technology & company that yopu can find on SI is Maxwell Technologies. The have a system called "PURE_BRITE", I believe, that has been selected by several restaurant chains for use in their facilities. It's interesting that so much is being made of poultry cleaning...there was a small scale operation here in Washington that was using an ozone generator eight years ago & also several salmon processors who had marveleous luck with the system. I wonder if the company has sought out these innovators? It would sure save them a lot of time in convincing those firms out there that are looking at the technology. I'm long on OZON as I know how successful it's been under less then the best of conditions.
