<<StorageTek-heard anything more here Kerry?>>

I would rather not speculate.

PS - with the dismal quarterly results released on Friday, I'm surprised we haven't heard from the 4 Stooges get on the soapbox lately to blast the Company and the "Cult" members...that small rally to 8 1/2 on Thursday right after the conference call sure looked like a minor short squeeze to me.One would think that any Shorts would have viewed last Thursday as THE day to cover, considering the magnitude of bad news, ie low revenues, more write-offs and no oem deals to announce. I guess they only have another 12 months to wait for bankruptcy/de-listing while the $11 million cash infusion keeps "Ancorpse" barely "alive and kicking" for another year <g>.

Bradley,
That is a very interesting theory. To use a battlefield analogy,
it looks like Brocade sees that that are going to lose the battle
of UNIX, so they are moving their forces to a place called NT and
preparing to do battle with Ancor there. They are hoping that Ancor
doesn't go after them and that Ancor will be content to live in the land of
UNIX while Brocade lives in the land of NT. However, Ancor wants to rule the
world so it looks like there will soon be a battle of NT.

All IMHO,
Steve

<<<"It may be that a SCSI company had 60 percent of the market, but that
won't necessarily be true in Fibre Channel," Christensen said.
"Companies like Unisys and Digital Equipment can reshape themselves. The market makers won't necessarily be the same."

Hmmmmmmmmm.........I wonder why she chose these two companies to talk
about. <<<<

Didn't Brenda work for DEC(so maybe not so surprising to target them) for about 10 years and Adaptec for a much shorter period? She knows this market well. What she does so well in her PR statements is define where the market is going and then stake a claim in that market by Brocade which happens to be the oasis in that particular part of the desert. She appears to be a very creative. She must be left handed.
