Concerning ADX, no body uses one indicator alone and Marks does not.
In his defense, Mark uses many indicators. How ADX fits in his system is a different story. ADX indicate the degree the stock is trending. The higher it is the more the stock is trending. A high ADX for a stock will yield more profit then one with lower ADX all else being equal. This is also true for day trader. Dr. Alexander Elder in his book titled "Trading for a Living" have an entire chapter on ADX and how to use it for day trader and short term trader.

Paul, I agree with you on ADX not being advantageous for daytraders...It is geared for the position trader......Am willing to learn candlesticks...Can you recommend any good books....Mark
