Yes Dan, it's been shipping as upgradeable to 56K for some time now, I'd be willing to bet they will release the upgrade when the ITU sets the 56K standard in Geneva and that's expected to be within the next month or so. The upgrade should come as a simple software file just as one updates some older 33.6K modems to 56K.

As to advertising it's true that probably won't be seeing much since the current product lines are for corporate remote access and not general public use. In most cases sales would be handled by direct contact with corporates and direct mail campaigns to selected parties. I'm aware of a Demo CD the company recently produced and there has been talk of one that is fully functional in which the client portion is implemented in software and the potential customer need only to dial up a BT server to try it out.
(That very last part is indeed only an unverified rumor so far)

Here's a couple of ads from Mobile Computing and Communications,
both are very large files but I wanted the detail to show:
ionet.net
ionet.net
(My ISP has been having trouble all day, keep trying)

Also, here is a piece that Inacom recently produced:
ionet.net
ionet.net
(My ISP has been having trouble all day, keep trying)

and here's a list of Inacom's locations: inacom.com

Currently the product has been concentrated within the "Communications" division but I understand the "Information Systems" division will also be involved.
