Marshall, Where to begin.... BT integrates each of the communications options you listed over a single 28.8k connection by dividing available bandwidth according to the number of functions being utilized. Like the BT sales drones, I think you'd be hard pressed to find corporate customers interested in a device limited to sub 28.8k data transfers in a market in which 56k has become relatively commonplace. The multi-functional nature of the product is outweighed by BT's significantly lower total bandwidth compared to other solutions. With DSL just around the corner, and RACE concentrating on an increasingly irrelevant ISDN, BT's future is likely to be a short one. You've really put your foot in it when it comes to DSL. Microsoft, Compaq, Intel, four of the 5 major RBOCs and a host of other partners associated with the Universal ADSL Working Group now back a single common standard based around DMT. The ITU expects to have an officially ratified standard by October. Telcos recently switched to a rather aggressive implementation schedule. US West in particular is already pushing DSL service in 40 cities. I'm not interested in chronicling your track record because you are the only source of information in this regard and I find your veracity highly questionable. What we all KNOW for a fact is that you failed to pull the trigger on RACE in the twenties, in the teens, and in the high single digits over a period of several months. What we all KNOW for a fact is that you pushed SIII just as relentlessly as you push RACE, yet SIII is trading at all-time lows as a result of poor management. Your track record is out there for anyone that wants to waste the time reading literally thousands of old posts that consist of little more than the same sort of spiel one would expect from a corporate marketing team.
