What happens if China takes Taiwan? Tsmc done Ramifications will be felt for years and it will be ugly. This was the logic behind the Chips Act. I don't like the government incentivizing either but preventing most of the crown jewels possessed by China is worth that downside to me.

Now that Trump is on the throne, China would NEVER think of invading Taiwan, just like PooTin would have NEVER thought of invading Ukraine had Trump been president in 2022.
