Mike,

Morimoto is trying to push a niche product from a company on life support to an unresponsive corporate market well past the introductory stage of the product life cycle. Frankly, I'm surprised he didn't make a more colorful statement in light of the circumstances. BT's bandwidth limitations, Data Race's financial weaknesses, and a too rapid technological pace in the industry tend to suggest that no amount of salesmanship can save BT from the scrapheap of failed new product introductions.

Of course I'm not even mentioning the impact that Inacom's cut would have on already depressed BT margins. This is a no-win situation if you're a RACE investor.

Jonathan

Well it looks like the blowhard brothers are back again. So many long run on sentences, so much wasted space, so much B.S. It seems that Rod is having an increasingly hard time pushing his crap on SI. The word is out. His stench precedes him and little Jonathan comes following along sniffing eagerly.

BTW, Morimoto is most definitely NOT the president of Inacom. I've always loved companies that dilute the meaning of the corporate hierarchy by giving divisional executives hyped-up titles out of proportion with the scope of their responsibilities. Inacom is one such company.
