The one will be a long time forgetting, not that I want to, but the other I am clueless of. Was it arsenic? <g>

I had (hope I still do) a friend who worked on the rigs for awhile back in the early '80's when 10 - 14 dollars an hour was money. Of course most of the people who worked together partied together also. One was a driller's helper, the second in the chain of seniority on the platform if I remember correctly, and an enviable wage.

I'll try to keep your advise in mind should I feel like chancing a discussion on culinary techniques in some of the more charming places one can find one's self in at times. :-)

I think I'll tell the story elsewhere when I get around to doing so.

The chess: I am not so intimidated when it comes to playing the game. I am happy with myself thus far, but it is the quality of the game which I most appreciate. Unfortunately, in those cases, someone has to lose, barring the unlikelyhood of a draw.
