Economy wise both are excellent ideas. But Canada will elect more dem congress people than republicans. With the tight margins, it won’t work well for republicans. And then the whole country could go down.

Good points. It is the weekend so more room for politics. Also, I think tariffs are very much related to investing. If you had to pick one word to blame our problems on, for me it would be "Enabling". We've swung too far to enable bad behavior. How does Canada handle drug addicted people who spending housing money and food money on the next fix and are too wasted to get a job so they have to come to NY or SF for free money for food (to sell for more drugs) and other benefits like Free Narcan to allow them to OD and survive?
