When I was 6 years old my Dad and a friend of his (who owned a cheese making plant) bought 40 acres and raised sheep on the land.

Daily his friend unloaded a big tank truck that was filled with the days production of whey.

As a little boy I loved playing with the sheep and even had a little black sheep.

One thing I learned early on is don't be standing in front of the whey troughs when the truck shows up. They literally stampede to the troughs when the truck offloads the whey.

It was free high protein which really provided a very healthy herd.

A bit if trivia from a country boy growing up.
