MCHP color suggest that consumer demand is still weak if MCHP customers are not working through their inventories.

I don't think MCHP has much consumer device exposure. Industrial and analog, yes, consumer products, no.

Co issues upside guidance for Q1, sees Q1 revs of $610 mln to $630 mln vs. $580.67 mln FactSet Consensus.Board approved $500 mln buyback.

The last time Briefing.com listed no weak sectors we were near a top in the market. Today we had 83% Upside volume on the NYSE. Perhaps the reverse is true. I think it is likely but I would like to see another 80% upside day next week for confirmation.

I think you are still away from Silicon Investor traveling but just wanted to make this note even though you won't see it until you get back.
