Hi, Duncan!!! Yes, I am feeling fine. Even the storm-damaged phone lines seem to be working. But mostly I have been watching The American Experience on PBS. For some reason I found some residual affection for Lyndon Johnson welling up inside me, perhaps because after bungling everything in Vietnam, he had the decency to step aside. I think in some ways he was a scoundrel, but there seemed to be more than a bit of integrity within his complex character. I also usually root for underdogs, and the way Bobby Kennedy treated him was nothing short of abusive. Nixon was, well, Nixon!!! I think Oliver Stone's eponymous movie captured him better than the documentary did. Duncan, could you tell me what you think about what you think is going on with Vernon Jordan and his camp? I am trying to catch up on all the news, and this seems important. Do you think he feels betrayed by Billy? Grace
