CNBC and New York Times have updated us on the news events at Oxford. The equity package from KKR + Payson and loan package from Chase+Nations Bank resolves the liquidity problem. Payson/Nazem/KKR will restructure the company, eliminate loss leaders and look for a suitor. CNBC report said HMOs covered 20% of population in 1993 and 30% in 1998. Growth rate has declined but 55% of coverage is projected to be provided by HMOs in 2010. Richter of MS said individuals may hate HMOs but its employers who make decisions. I expect Oxford to trade at $35+ by 12/31/98. Premier
