Stock does poorly, so you try to turn this into a debate about the disease? Its not nice to use the disease to enhance your personnal goal. Is also not ethical to raise false expectations.

jerry, Some of the posters are so negative, that when the stock goes up, they think it goes down (or "does poorly") :-).
If you recall, less than a month ago LGND was trading below $11 and we were told that it would soon break $10. Today it broke $15, but the stock was doing so "poorly" that a discussion of the goals of the company were discussed.
Even WSJ mentioned that last week that LGND had the third piece of good news in less than a week (earnings, KS clinicals, and breast cancer pre-clinicals). Some have a rather distorted view of reality that seems to be shared by one or two posters on this board.
I had visited the wsj.com site to look at LGND's Briefing Book and the news search function comes up with positive news story after positive story, including LGND in the "hots stocks" and NASDAQ summary, yet some think that the stock is doing poorly and all that we can talk about is how well everything is going!

<< Tonyt ... I hope your personal gain in LGND doing poorly will outweigh the positive their research might do some day for people with debilitating disease. >>

Good point! Tonyt is only a temporary distraction and irritant. The cures that LGND hopefully creates will greatly overshadow the negative contributions of tonyt.

I've got a portfolio of biotech stocks. It's a nice feeling when you can supplement your income by investing in companies that are trying to cure debilitating diseases!

Obviously there are individuals that don't have the capacity to understand this.

Regards, and good luck, Bob
