Hi F.,
It's times like this that we need intestinal fortitude!
This should help:

TOM'S UP-NORT SALMON SPREAD

QUANTITY COMPONENTS SUBSTITUTIONS

1 POUND SMOKED SALMON - ANY RELATIVELY BONELESS
SMOKED FISH
16 OZ. CREAM CHEESE
1 TSP CIDER VINEGAR
1 TSP CARAWAY SEED
1 TBSP HORSERADISH - CAN BE HORSRADISH POWDER
1 TBSP CHIVES - FRESH OR FREEZE DRIED
1 TBSP MINCED ONION - " " " "

Mix caraway seed, horseradish, chives and minced onions
with cider vinegar. Break apart the smoked salmon meat
and make sure no bones remain. Chunky is just fine.
Mix seasonings with meat.
Soften cream cheese in the microwave for 45 sec. on
med. high. Blend crumbled fish and spices with cream
cheese until even in consistency. Place mixture in covered
container and chill overnight. Serve with crackers or
pumpernickel bread party loaf.
