Alex and All,

Speaking of food and other shortages during WW II, have you ever tried the faux apple pie? The recipe used to be on Ritz cracker boxes. It is said to have been quite tasty. Funny thing, but today it would cost more to make the faux apple pie with Ritz crackers and spices than to just make a normal apple pie using apples and flour and the usual spices and sugar or perhaps even to make the apple pies sold at McDonald's.

Holly

BTW, "Buick" is a very survey-popular barf onomoto. There is, of course, a Barf Onomoto website. And one: "Fish Pants Aquarium".
