I'd love for the news to do a deep dive into what these "students" were majoring in and what protests they attended or organized.

It seems there is a large effort to turn the US away from backing Israel after Hitler and his friends in the Middle East failed to slaughter them in WW II. One proven way they have is to push for a one solution state of Israel where they can multiply or immigrate quickly and vote the Jews out of their own state and steal Israel once again. Given Israel won't sit still for this, they've expanded the program by flooding the US with "sympathizers" who start as students and often get into teaching positions or even congress and vote against Israel.

Hollywood is decades ahead of this with TV shows like "The Americans" about a Soviet couple put into the US under cover to be used later when needed. The 19 9-11 hijackers were in the US "legally" on visas, so I have no trouble cancelling those who ICE thinks are violating the terms of their visas to do possible harm to the US.

It is pretty well known the Chinese have many spies in our education system getting degrees and working at US companies with the goal to eventually return to China with stolen IP.

Gemini says the students with cancelled visas were from Arab and Asian countries... which would fit my model. If Trump really wanted to piss off liberals, he'd kick out all the illegal aliens in the UC system that are getting taxpayer supported free education. One of my best friends who came here legally had to pay to send his two kids out of state to good schools because the UC system preferred to give slots to illegal alien kids rather than legal citizens, one who was adopted in India and brought to the US.
