Mo Baby - Re: "How much more power do you need in a laptop?""

Nathan Brookwood was not elected to set CPU horsepower standards for notebook computers.

People will buy whatever CPU/notebook combination they think will meet their needs and budget.

I don't see many really cheap 386 notebooks for sale - how about you, Mo?

Paul

Great, but as Nathan Brookwood, principal chip analyst at Dataquest puts it... "How much more power do you need in a laptop?"

Well, what are you going to want to do w/ it 3 years from now?

Don't tell me you're still using a 486/33...

Well, I guess you can always use it to balance the checkbook.

In his case an XT would have been more than enough.<gg>

oh,since when is some guy at Dataquest started to define and invent the future of technology? Wouldn't it be heck of a lot better if he sticks with his surveys or is he planning to take over as the CEO of Intel and take technology back to the past?
