Brumar, I never heard about plans to tax unrealized capital gains. I see it only applied to taxpayers with net worths over 100 milllion. It was one of the more controversial aspects of Harris' platform. It was a complete wealth redistribution scheme cooked up by Sen. Warren. Boy, those were the good old days, when we actually had wealth to redistribute. Now we have to deal with Donald "No dolls for you" Trump while he takes a dump in his gold-plated toilets ... I am just telling you why moderates and independents like myself voted for Trump in 2024 after not voting for him in 2016 and 2020. If you do not want to accept what I say or continue to think that Trump won based on lies, that is your choice. But I do not have any axe to grind and am no Trump lover. taxfoundation.org What I find most offensive about her tax plan is that the money raised would be handed out to people who do not deserve it, people who have never run a business and cannot afford to start and plan a business from scratch. Maybe Brenda's government should run the business for these people too.
