torben

you say:

"Management is stupid enough to break all sorts of accounting rules. And then they go spend the better part of a billion dollars buying a worthless company. Add to this all sorts of other things they have been accused of doing in the last few months."

then

"Something seems wrong here."

then the capper

"I bought some more ADPT today."

i lost the train of logic here.<g>

Torben, are you trying to dissuade me from buying into Adaptec here?

If they acquired Symbios at their own Price to Sale ratio (which is by itself low at this point relative to the rest of the industry), would it have been a good acquisition?

What I am trying to say in a round about way, why is the street beating up on this stock? Fundamentally it is cheap, but technically it is not showing much strength, usually, when the FA and the TA do not agree, I wait to see the picture clear out. You are pointing to some fundamental weaknesses, and I am wondering if all those are sufficient to justify the current price. Maybe someone can point to additional rational reasons for the weakness?
