DJB--I don't have a good answer for you on that subject. This morning I was talking to a contact at the Coin Operators Association who was getting ready to testify in favor of Video poker before a sub-committe e for the Senate. They keep a daily pulse on each of the Senators. I asked him about Senators Short and Peeler who Tod Allen had mentioned in his post # 7577. He informed me that Senator Short stands against Video Poker and Senator Peeler is in favor. Peeler represents the district with 3 counties that voted against the referendum in 94. However, as Tod pointed out in his recent post Peeler's York county which he represents is #4 in the state for revenue. This is the county that backs up to the Charlotte North Carolina county and gets a lot of play from out of state. He also said the swing in the Senate on trying to stop the filibuster is still between 3-4 votes.
