Nice summary. My favorite was the full head of hair luck. You and I were blessed with high capacity beneath where we used to have hair. It is hard to remember that the average is several sigma IQ points below and they lack the capacity often to see the very obvious to some.

I remember Freshman year in college I wanted to take Econ 101 so get a leg up but I had to take remedial English (damn, they didn't give me points for being bilingual with fluency in Ebonics which I had to work very hard to drop at UC!). Anyway, I'd look at the exam papers dorm mates had and wondered why they even needed to go to class to get an A. The concept of supply and demand is so simple for me but for most, they let all the noise get in the way. It really showed the difference between the top 1% and the top 8% of high school graduates who got into UC Berkeley. Anyway, this extra skill we were born with has sure helped us.

We all want clean, safe energy and to leave a cleaner planet for the next generation even if we are without kids. My issue is I don't want to suffer burnt feet from peeing into the ocean as CA tries to solve the whole climate issue all by ourselves by making energy far too expensive and ignoring the real problem is too many people.

I like a LOT of what Trump is doing but I also liked many of Obama's ideas. Obama once said that anyone who works hard in a job contributing to society deserves health care and a secure retirement. The problem is his solution to health care was worse than making sausage. ALL the healthy people get corporate insurance at a much lower rate than us self-employed because the self-employed insurance exchanges were forced to pay for EVERYTHING from sex changes to having scores of kids that government had to support. We had to do that while accepting all the people too sick to hold a regular job! This required massive government subsidies to make affordable and there was a HUGE incentive for any of us 60 and older to not work hard because we'd lose a huge subsidy in insurance that was like a HUGE tax.

Anyway, we have a lot of work to do and it is encouraging that so many of us with different views here can listen to each other far better than the idiot politicians. Maybe passing that ability on will be our legacy. I've been slowly working on that at the local level...

The solution to Social Security might be a hybrid system where 1% of the 13% taken out goes to private accounts that fund personal ROTH retirement accounts that can't be touched until age 65 and exchange, raise the full retirement age to 70. In addition, find a way to educate the billionaires that they have a moral obligation to consider Social Security for their workers their responsibility and they should find a way to fund it... fully with the later full retirement date compromise.

Trump's WORST ideas are giving tax breaks to special classes of workers. That is as insulting to me as Biden giving special treatment to people for their gender and skin color.

Both parties don't seem to get how putting income limits on subsidies for any behavior acts as a tax to those on the margin. For 50 years, there is no limit on income what you pay into Medicare yet once you retire, your costs for the program are based on income. They keep it quiet or more would convert IRAs to ROTHs much sooner in the compounding process.

OK, back on my head!
