That group also was disbanded after their main bargaining chip of Kursk was lost. They had nothing to offer other than threat of drone attacks and terrorist plots within Russia. I think Russia realizes the attacks won't stop after a 'peace deal' and some level of safety buffer within Ukraine is needed It's backfired imo.
