Jurgen, reread my post, please.

Each die has 6 numbers, of which there is a 1/6 chance of coming up.

A 12 requires 2 sixes or (1/6 * 1/6 or 1/36).

However AFTER 3 12s have already come up the probability of a 4th 12 is still 1/36.

No apologies are necessary.

Jurgen:

The odds for 4 rolls viewed as 1 event are different.

The probable outcome of the next roll, as an individual event,
is independent of all other rolls.

Three engineers are riding in a car: an electrical engineer, chemical engineer, and a Microsoft engineer. Suddenly, the car stops running, and rolls to a stop.

The electrical engineer, not knowing much about mechanics, suggests, "I'll check the electrical system and try to trace where a fault might have occurred."

The Chemical engineer, not knowing much about electronics, suggests, "Maybe the fuel has become emulsified and is causing a blockage somewhere in the system."

The Microsoft engineer says, "Any idiot knows what to do; we close all the windows, get out, get back in, open the windows again, and it should go."

At the turn of the century, Red came up 36 times in a row on the roulette wheel in Monte Carlo. This caused a mad rush to bet on Black and cleaned out all the gamblers present in the casino at the time.

Stocks are less random and far more based on group psychology.

The trend is your friend. In Ascend that currently means up.
