Note also, that according to post 854, JATO is
deploying a 2-way LMDS system in Denver under
an experimental FCC license. On the other hand,
Qwest is based in Denver. May be someone is thinking
of fiber + LMDS.

WTC,
Denver is an extremely environmentally sensitive area with a population that knows it. Also may include areas like Summit County in the Rockies to the west. High population, dry (snows a little), line of site no problem with elevations. Rocky ground, tough to lay cable, expensive to maintain, and environmentally sensitive area. Flat to the East, little population but might be worth developing something down the road. Plus if there is a national network the center of the country might be worth something. But I am not technically qualified to make a judgement on the aspect.
