Democratic Party official arrested on child pornography charges Matthew Inman (Seminole County Jail) ORLANDO (TNND) — The U.S Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida filed child sex abuse charges earlier this month against Orange County, Florida Democratic Party official Matthew Inman. Inman, 39, serves as Orange County Democratic Party treasurer. He is accused of receiving and saving multiple videos of “child sexual abuse material,” according to prosecutors. The videos allegedly depicted adults sexually abusing young children. Authorities claim Inman traveled to Las Vegas in October 2024 and began talking online with an undercover officer who was pretending to be the father of a 9-year-old boy. During that conversation, Inman allegedly “expressed interest in meeting and sexually assaulting the purported child” and sent child sexual abuse material to the officer. The FBI said it obtained and executed a search warrant of Inman’s residence and electronic devices, during which he allegedly tried to delete evidence from his phone and hide in his attic. He could face between 5 and 20 years in federal prison if convicted of the offense.
