First, I think it is unfair to claim Moe is hyping this stock.
While I have disagreed with his analysis, I think he was only stating
his honest opinions on information available to the public. That
is what these boards are for.
Even Vinick must have found something in the stock.
In any case, the wall of worry is certainly building. Over in the
Yahoo thread, people are beginning to talk of DSC in single digits,
which even I do not believe. I do believe, however, the stock will trend
lower in the short term and may be a good buy in the 15-16 range,
which is not unreasonable if we have a Nasdaq pullback, which is
certainly overdue. Also, pre-announcement season is due fairly soon,
which tends to depress the market. For those who say 15-16 is
ridiculous because DSC will earn $1.30 according to analysts,
I say the analysts are full of it and off the mark this year--did
any even mention the MOT issue? If they were good analysts, they
should have found out about the MOT problem by independent research,
not by mouthing the positive info given by DSC. I expect DSC will earn
no more than $1.20, and perhaps closer to $1.10 for the year, as
Danish sub will continue to disappoint and Cellcore will follow
suit. This story of MOT problems cannot be good for DSC sales people
selling Cellcore units trying to emphasizing the quality of DSC
switching products.

I'm not bailing yet, my dad bought me this stock years ago when I first started in the market...haven't had the heart to sell it despite the fact I'm in at 35. I'm really more into options, and more of a trader, should have been with DIGI. I don't understand what's happening with the stock...either someone knows something we don't, or folks are getting paranoid due to the 14 it hit, what, a year or so ago. Sounds like DSC has already disputed the rumors suggesting inferior products. I've never heard of complaints of this nature. A couple of the contracts announced last year were huge and the foot in the door in China seems huge. I'm hoping the company clarifies it's position...soon.
