The interesting part is this. The younger people are, the quicker they are calling BS on the show. It's like a TV show that plays the same story line over and over. It was exciting and entertaining at first, now it's just boring. It's happened very quickly.

I wouldn't say that trolls win (which is true in a narrow sense, but that is not the only case). I'd say that the promises made were broken or rather expectations were unmet, therefore nobody wants to hear the same old story again. Ronny Chieng eloquently explains the source of the problem and accurately describes the deindustrialization of the U.S. via its global dollar structure better than most macro analysts below.
