I am just happy that we are here for no real reason.
If we could get some gigamux news we will be off to the races.

In the absence of anything else to talk about I thought I'd pass along these ramblings.

The short interest in FIBR was at roughly 950,000 in August when the stock fell below $5.

It was at its lowest in November at 808,000. At that point the maximum gain that all shorts could hope for was only another $1.6 million. I should hope that if there were any "small guy/gal" shorts left in November that at least some of them had the good sense to cover before now. (Even the most true blue short must
have seen the high volume and momentum as a chance to cover and reload.) The increase from there to 1,673,000 shares in January could only have been caused by MMs because the price was below $5 that whole time.

Now in Feb the total shorts fell by about 220,000.

We "know" that some new short positions were entered by "small guy/gals" when it became shortable by the general public in the end of January. So the actual number of shorts covered in Jan-Feb was higher than 220,000 and I'm guessing that the majority of those covering were MMs (since they were a majority of shorts to begin with).

So if the number of shorts that the MMs are selling to the general public is going up while the actual number of shorts that they themselves hold is going down...
just who is getting pumped (and dumped?) here?
