Well the earnings are out and I hope that some of you heeded my warnings and got out at 14.
This latest report was just as I expected.
1. They couldn't even fill their old manufacturing capacity never mind the additional expansion capacity.
2 they are already talking about improving costs on new equipment and process.Thats like bringing in a new car for a complete overhaul.
3. Where is the new CEO that they promised to be actively [pursueing?
The way that they worded it, the expansion is still going on at the Specialty Div. as well at Sturbridge.Way behind schedule and which means additional spending.
5 The increase in the tax rate was a new one on me.I don't think they will have to worry about this since I don't expect a profit for some time.
How about the LU and GLW contracts. What they don't tell you is more important than what they told you.GLW has just released news of a breakthrough in optical fiber that is 4 times faster, holds 4 times more info, and goes further without reqiuring re-amplification .Its called "LEAF" fiber.Lok up GLW news.Where does that put SPTR new capacity ? Obsolete already?
The old boy network has done it again to its shareholders.I am truley sorry for thoes of you that held on,but I made the same mistake as you four years ago.In this business you must learn by your mistakes and do diligent research before you put down your hard earned money.
The latest earning report by SPTR is a good example of how management can make a report sound good by not telling you the whole story.
