Then the SCOTUS needs to make clear that doctors and health care professionals that offer Mifepristone and other later stage abortion services in states where it is legal can not be tried for a crime in states where these are illegal.
I think the GOP went too far to the right with abortion

The GOP didn't do anything federal on abortion.

The Supreme Court ruled that abortion is not mentioned in the constution and therefore there is no "right to abortion".

Offering Mifepristone via mail from states where it is legal to states where it is not should also not be illegal and prosecution should be on those doing the importing similar to how it is handled with importing and reselling cigarettes from Indian reservations without the high state taxes.

Of course the Declaration of Independence is where it says we are entitled to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" where antiabortionists say the fetus is "life" and the pro abortionists say abortions are required for them to pursue their liberty and pursuit of happiness. It is an argument there is no "correct" answer to without going to the spiritual level...

But, my point is still correct in that 80% or so of the US favors letting women choose. The GOP is lucky more people hate liberals and what Harris stood for than they hated some states losing the right to an abortion. If the Democrats could have offered a moderate, this would not have been the case, IMHO.

One can also travel to a state that allows abortion, to obtain the service -so your choice can be achieved at the cost of an evening hotel room.

Abortion has always been a political litmus test - it should not be that.

Abortion is such a personal decision that it should not be legislated pro or con.

In either case, federal money should never be part of that personal decision.

My position on abortion has changed from being single to married and then elderly.

It has always been a very personal position.
