Secrecy breeds speculation. I speculate on why Joe would insist
that details of the process not be disclosed, if he is willing to tell
you over the telephone what he will not discuss with me face to face.
I speculate on why Ron Holland would bring up the subject of pulse
jets at the February 10th test if that is not indeed the principle involved. My remarks about the length of intake and exhaust systems
using the natural frequency of the pulses related to engines which
did not use a common manifold. Engines using a common manifold
will have one pulse from each cylinder per two revolutions, and the
pulse returning to any cylinder will not necessarily be the one that
originated with the closing of that cylinder's valve. On the other hand,
engines using common manifolds will not receive pulses of the same
amplitude that an engine using single headers would receive. On the
subject of speculation, perhaps you can end some of my speculations by telling us what Joe told you over the telephone. And then we can
proceed to speculate on the next potential stock market miracle.
