Online merchants now have a choice of several purchase options, which can be divided into two major categories: the Pandesic(TM) e-business solution and three hosted versions of the Pandesic solution. The solutions vary in price, and each is designed to accommodate the needs and business models of different online merchants. Hosted Solutions The hosted versions of the Pandesic e-business solution allow an online merchant to receive the benefits of the Pandesic solution without the costs of running and supporting an in-house system. The solution can be installed at a location maintained by Pandesic LLC or a Pandesic hosting partner. Pandesic LLC will allocate the appropriate server capacity (on shared servers) and network bandwidth to the merchant for a low monthly fee. In addition, Pandesic LLC will maintain and administer the hosted systems. These services will encompass the hosted hardware and software, including Windows NT, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS), Pandesic Application Software, R/3(TM), Cybercash, Taxware and Citibank Worldlink. Pandesic's comprehensive deployment and evergreen services will be included with all hosted offerings. The hosted versions of Pandesic's e-business solution offer merchants the flexibility of three options, with installation fees of $5,000, $25,000 or $100,000. All plans include the delivery of ongoing ''evergreen service'' by Pandesic LLC and include a 1 percent to 6 percent monthly fee, based on Web revenue. Each version of the solution hosted by Pandesic is designed to accommodate different merchant needs and business models. Pandesic E-Business Solution The Pandesic e-business solution resides at a location maintained by the merchant or a third party under contract by the merchant and is comparable to Pandesic's original e-business solution offering. The solution is priced at $100,000 and includes software, services and hardware as well as the installation of the e-business solution and ongoing evergreen service.
