Advantage over cash you do not need to carry bills change, etc.as to what happend when you lose it if it has a code no one can get to it, when you lose cash you lost it . Even if no one can get to it you've still lost it. Unless you have anonymous transactions, which our intrusive government would fight tooth and nail, I just don't see any compelling advantage of a smart card over a credit card. On a related topic, I see absolutely no advantage of a debit card over a credit card.
