you are nuts :)
I dont short anything in the middle of the trading range.
VLSI's trading range is 22 - 25 1/2, I think you entered too early.

KH aka Nutty: I too am worried about earnings warning season which should start in the first or second week of March. I am particularly concerned this time about the possibility that the Asian flu will be having its full impact on earnings. As a result I may sell 1/2 my VLSI and maybe some other things so as to raise cash as we roll into April and can pick up some non-warners at lower prices. Comments?

Kevin Hay, You are no nuts, :-)

VLSI said it expects revenues and earnings for the quarter, ending March 27, will be lower than the fourth quarter($0.45), and the year-ago first quarter ($0.19). while analysts had expected the company to report earnings of $0.32 a share for the first quarter, according to First Call.

Even $0.19 is significantly below analysts' current expectations. In today's markert, shorts made more money than Longs.

Tech Investor, would you short VLSI now? Still think VLSI will test $19 and hold?

Thanks

Xy

Kevin,

You're something of a genius. Why didn't you tell us you sold while the market was still open?

VLSI has mugged us. I won't get that AIM sell now. I'm morose.

HOW DID YOU DO IT? Did you know about the press release in advance? If not, what clues did you have?

Linda

kevin,
that short looks like a brilliant move today. vlsi getting killed down 4-5 pts. i missed a chance to get them last year when they went to 16 and have regretted that as they have been up huge since then. do you think there is a chance they could get back to that range?
