They can never do wrong, their shit doesn't stink and the laws don't apply to them. Or at least according to you based on your posts, Lots of people work hard and are smart. They don't get special privileges. Now maybe you don't believe the things you post. But that doesn't make me a liar. You, on the other hand... But I frankly don't believe that. In my opinion, you actually believe those men, and they are always men, are some sort of divine creations. They aren't. Jobs is dead. His legacy is what it is. Musk is in the midst of massively fucking up so many things, he has some distance to fall yet. It isn't a "hall pass". It is a ranking of sorts, very much opinionated. I have criticized both, but I do not generally criticize their management styles because both understood their jobs and knew how to get the most out of the people who worked for them. Jobs, AFAIK, was more curt from what I've seen and read. But that doesn't matter to the adults in the room. While Jobs was successful and committed, Musk is wildly successful and unprecedented in modern history. I'm sure you would prefer to call it "lucky". But this kind of talent hasn't appeared before AFAIK. A special mix of vision, engineering, and economics, along with a ton of subspecialties including large topics like material science, general and specialized computer science skills, amazing skill at capital allocation, capital allocation, time management, "extreme engineering intuition", evaluation of risks and return, and the list could go on. Not to mention his understanding of rocketry and the processes for testing. What do you think Jobs knew about battery tech? Yes, there are soft spots in understanding customers. Like removing the turn signal stalk, "they'll get used to it." No, we won't. Ever. I appreciate the fact that you need to criticize other people to feel better about yourself; that is apparent. But you should man-up and recognize excellence when you see it. On the level of Musk, and to a great extent Jobs, there is no room for self-pity. These are in fact "great men", and wealth makes it far easier to find oneself in that category. Many have failed only because they lacked the understanding of economics that Musk is extremely aware of. So, I assert that your "worship" claim is total bullshit. But we shouldn't be walking around thinking these men are like us. They have talent that made them successful. Perhaps some are evil, but people aren't automatically evil because you see them as too wealthy.
