I am not emotionally invested in any LLM either.
What I said is purely a matter of convenience.
If I were to switch out of ChatGPT to something else, it would be similar to if I were to completely switch out of Android ecosystem to say Apple's.

Just like there would be a switching cost such as changing all my email addresses and apo logins and transferring contacts and documents and so on, there will be a switching cost for switching out of ChatGPT to the other LLM.
And that's assuming that the replacement is functionally equivalent, which currently they are not.

But if all you need, to extend the metaphor, is to make phone calls from your phone, then the switching costs will be low. Similarly, if you have not set up any projects and are using the chatbot at rudimentary level, then the switching costs will be trivial.

The same goes for coding. My wife uses Claude for development. I use ChatGPT. We've considered converging, but she has to change too many things on her set up and also get used to OpenAI's Codex, which while might be functionally better, it's not worth the switching costs for her.
