Untrue, AND irrelevant.

>>George, you are missing my point here. The leaks that are being investigated are the unflattering stories of prosecutorial excesses on the part of two of Starr's assistants, in their past work. We're not talking about leaking grand jury testimony, or at least I'm not. Starr hasn't made that claim in any event. He doesn't like the fact that these stories about his staff are being publicized. He thinks that unflattering stories are an obstruction of justice, even if true. Surprisingly there are many here that think the same way. I find that fascinating.

What's really fascinating is that you have exposed your, and the WH's, own inconsistency.

Starr has said that he was investigating "leaks" of Grand Jury testimony but he is also now investigating coordinated attempts by the WH to undermine the investigation.

The inconsistency in your viewpoint is that both the investigation of leaks and obstruction would undermine "freedom of the press" in precisely the same way, yet you are only concerned about the latter and not the former.

My guess is that Starr started investigating the leaks and they lead to the WH, afterall, they are the only ones who profited from the leaks - it helped in their efforts to change the story and to discredit Starr.
